McKenzie to Host Homelessness Forum
McKenzie is Hosting a Homelessness Forum on Monday, May 13, 6 p.m. in the Park Theatre.
The event is to raise awareness of the homeless situation and the resources available to assist these individuals. The panelist: Hometown Health Clinic, Carey Counseling Center, Inc., Tennessee Homeless Solutions, Beating Hearts Help Center, West Tennessee Continuum of Care, United Neighbors, and others.
The event is free of charge.

McKenzie City Council Meets Monthly
The McKenzie City Council meets at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of each month.

McKenzie Senior Center Events
May 18 is the second annual shrimp boil! $15 for shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes! If you don’t eat shrimp, get double portions of sausage! Tickets must be purchased by May 10th.
May 21, we will have a representative from the Veteran’s Administration to come and discuss benefits available and answer questions. Open to all area veterans. 2 p.m. at the center.
May 22 is Senior Movie at the Park Theater. This month’s movie is “Unsung Hero” 2 p.m.
May 25 is the cakewalk, the last one until September! 6 p.m. at the Center on South Main Street, next to E.W. James-McKenzie.

Macedonia Fire Department Fish Supper
Macedonia District 10 Fire Department Fish Supper is May 18, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Center, 4680 Highway 423, McKenzie. Plates are $12 including fish, beans, slaw, hushpuppies, fries, drink and dessert.

Liberty All Homecoming
The annual First Sunday in May Homecoming at Liberty All Church, 2415 Old Stage Road, Huntingdon is Sunday, May 5.
The morning worship service is 10:30 a.m., led by church paster Jennifer Sauer, followed by sining by Rita Jones and Debbie Wilson, Wendy Price and Pastor Sauer.
Lunch is provided after the singing. Everyone is welcome.

Carroll Humane Society Events
Yard Sale

The Carroll County Humane Society yard sale is Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18 at 21822 Highway 22 in McKenzie. 8 a.m.-12 p.m., both days. We are now taking donations for the sale and will accept new and gently used items.
If you want to donate clothing/shoes, please make sure they are in good condition. We cannot accept used socks, undies and mattresses.
We are excited to have Twizted Tot Munchie Truck with us both days serving breakfast!
Dog Vouchers
We are currently selling spay/neuter vouchers for dogs. The cost is $50 and surgeries will be done at the Huntingdon Animal Clinic. Must be 6 months or older at time of the appointment. No residency or income requirements. Vouchers must be purchased in person at the shelter during business hours Tuesday-Saturday 8 a.m.-12 p.m. We are running low on spay vouchers so hurry if you want one. We have several more neuter vouchers. Cash or card only.
Cat Vouchers
We always have spay/neuter vouchers for cats at a cost of $50 and to be used at Paris Vet Clinic. If you need to pay with cash, come by the shelter to purchase. Otherwise, we have a NEW NUMBER to purchase using a credit/debit card. Please leave a message and the volunteer will return your call very soon. 731-514-0878.

Bible Study On Patience
Bethel Baptist, a Southern Baptist Church, is offering instruction on Patience. All ladies are invited to attend this enlightening study each Thursday, 10 a.m. beginning May 23. The church is located at 25755 Highway 22, McKenzie.

Carroll Republican Party Meets
Carroll County Republican Party meets monthly each fourth Tuesday, 7 p.m. in the Public Safety Building in Huntingdon.

McKenzie TOPS to Meet
The McKenzie TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter meets on Mondays at 3 p.m. at the McKenzie Church of Christ gym. Anyone interested in losing weight can join. For more information, contact Linda Lawrence at 731-352-7309. If no answer, leave a message.

Carroll Commission Meets Monthly
Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in February and July.

Carroll Democratic Party Meets
The Carroll County Democratic Party meets the third Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at 12740 Lexington Street, Huntingdon.

Adult Education Classes
Huntingdon Location — Adult Education Building, 14155 Paris Street. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes are offered for one-on-one instruction on Mondays, 1-4 p.m. and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to NOON. For more information, phone 731-364-5481.
