Huntingdon Main Street Christmas Events Are This Saturday

HUNTINGDON — The Town of Huntingdon is hosting its annual Main Street Christmas on Saturday, December 9.

The events include the parade at 6 p.m. in the downtown area. The parade follows the tree-lighting ceremony at city hall at 5 p.m.

THE DIXIE CARTER PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

• 2-4 p.m.: Birdsong School of Music Recital in Hal Holbrook Theatre.

• 2-4 p.m.: Dixie Carter PAC Gift Shop open with new Dixie Ornaments.

• 2-4 p.m.: Photos with Santa in Ballroom Gallery.

• 2-4 p.m.: Arts & Crafts with Carroll County Library in Ballroom Gallery.

• 3-6 p.m.: Meet and Greet with The Grinch around town.

MUDSLINGERS POTTERY STUDIO

• Jason Reeves: Christmas Greenery.

• 1-5 p.m.: Jessa Potts: Ceramics for Sale.

• 2-6 p.m.: HHS Sophomore Class: Hot Cocoa & Face Painting.

TOWN OF HUNTINGDON

• 8-10:30 a.m.: Breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Claus for Huntingdon Bands fundraiser at Huntingdon Primary School.

• 1-5 p.m.: Shoppes in FirstBank’s lobby: Oopsie Daisy, Small Town Friendz, K’s Permanent Jewelry, Dawn’s Custom Designs, VC Shirts, + More!

• 1-5 p.m.: Christmas at the Colonial Tea Room with Santa’s Bake Shop.

• 2-6 p.m.: Food Trucks at Public Safety Building.

• 3:30 p.m.: Court Theatre: It’s A Wonderful Life, sponsored by Carroll Bank & Trust.

• 5 p.m.: Tree Lighting.

• 6 p.m.: Parade.

• Various Hours: Local shops and businesses open.
