10 YEARS AGO — A fire at Replogle Lumber Company in Henry destroyed the office building and an adjoining storage building.
*The City of McKenzie was awarded three grants totaling $511,450. The majority of the funds were for sewer system improvements, while smaller amounts were designated for protective vests for police officers and used oil recycling.
20 YEARS AGO — The Bank of Gleason opened a new, 4,000 square-foot facility on Highway 79 in McKenzie.
50 YEARS AGO — Showing at the Park Theatre: Finders Keepers starring Anne Chapman; Beach Red starring Cornel Wilde; The Sound of Music starring Julie Andrews; and Far From the Maddening Crowd.
