    NASHVILLE — Tennessee made history in July when the state recorded its lowest unemployment rate since the federal government began tracking the statistic in 1976. According to the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD), the seasonally adjusted rate of 3.1% was 0.1 of a percentage point lower than the previous all-time low of 3.2%, a figure the state once again reached in June.

    Fraud — On August 11, the victim stated she used her EBT card in Jackson around 9:30 a.m. on August 7. Later that day back in Huntingdon at Walmart she tried to use her EBT card again when it was declined, after she knew she had money on the card. The 1-800 number on the back of the EBT card stated someone used the card without her permission on August 7, making five withdrawals up to $1,069.05. This left her balance at zero dollars. No other information currently.
