Mc Kenzie, TNMcKenzie High School classes of 1960, 1963, 1983, 1988, 1993, and 2003 will meet for milestone reunions this fall.
The class of 1960’s 60-year reunion was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and is rescheduled for Saturday, September 2 at 11 a.m. at Hometown Hangout in McKenzie.
The class of 1963 celebrate a 60-year reunion on Saturday, October 14 at 6 p.m. at Mallards Restaurant in Huntingdon. Class members can order and pay for their meals individually at the reunion.
The class of 1983 holds their reunion in conjunction with McKenzie’s Sweet Tea and Southern Pickin’s Festival on the weekend of August 25-26. Friday, the class will have a tailgate party at 5 p.m. before the McKenzie High School home football game versus Dresden, and classmates will sit together during the game. The class will tour McKenzie High School at 10 a.m. Saturday, before enjoying a noon luncheon at McKenzie Middle School. Big Daddy’s BBQ will cater the luncheon, and the cost is $10 per person.

The class of 1988 has a 35-year reunion on Saturday, October 28 at 6 p.m. at Terry and Melissa Reeder’s home. Classmates can tour McKenzie Middle School, where they attended high school, at 4:30 p.m. before the reunion event. Mallards Restaurant will cater the reunion, and the meal’s cost per person is $25. The class of 2003 has a 20-year reunion in conjunction with this year’s McKenzie High School homecoming game on Friday, October 6. The class will meet at the football game at 7 p.m. and attend a post-game gathering at the McKenzie VFW. Donations to help cover costs can be made at the reunion.
