The Rebel golf teams concluded the week by traveling to Persimmon Hills in Sharon Thursday, September 13, for their last regular season road match against several teams.

The ladies earned wins against Gleason, Greenfield, Huntingdon, South Fulton, and Westview. Maggie Glass earned match medalist honors with a 3 over par 39, with Mallory Cole’s 44 giving the team a match total of 83.

The gentlemen posted wins over Gleason, Huntingdon, South Fulton, Westview, and Dresden. Johnathan Moore earned match medalist honors with a 3 over par 40. The 168 team total was completed by Ben Austin’s 41, Will McBride’s 43, and Nathan Nanney’s 44.

Coach Smith said playing well on the course hosting both the District and Region tournaments and earning wins over district and region foes was a definite confidence boost for his team 11 days before post season play begins.

The regular season ends on Monday at home against Gleason and South Fulton. Seniors Ben Austin, Will McBride, Mallory Cole, Julie French, and Olivia Wright will play their final high school home match for the Rebels that day. The District tournament will be at Sharon on September 24 for the gentlemen and the 25 for the ladies.

With the week’s results, the ladies are now 33-8-2 with the gentlemen at 49-5.
