Rev. Dr. Chuck Burks, 71, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Monday, July 10, 2023 at his home.

Memorial services are Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Huntingdon Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop E.C. McKinley officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until time of the service.

Rev. Burks was born March 30, 1952 in Long Beach, California to Bobby Lee and Evelyn Lee (Gosnell) Burks. He was an environmental control specialist for Johnson Controls and a member of Huntingdon Church of God of Prophecy.

Chuck was in ministry his entire adult life, in music, teaching, word and counseling. He was first ordained at Faith Tabernacle church in Wilmington, Cal. He served as both an associate pastor and a senior pastor. He retired as pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Huntingdon. He was also a retired part-time sheriff deputy from the Carroll County Sheriff's Department and served for some years as bailiff in Carroll County Court.

He is survived by his wife, Ragene Burks, a daughter, Sarah Marie Burks, a son, Michael Lee Burks, all of Huntingdon, a son, Aaron Ray Burks of Sunland, California, his parents, Bobby and Evelyn Burks of Palm Desert, California, a brother, Don Ray Burks (Sue) of Santa Ana, California, a sister, Michelle Vester (Alan) of Placentia, California, and six grandchildren, Grace Lynn Burks, Johnny Elvis Burks, Merry Belle Burks, Thomas Cash Burks, Haley Floyd and Ashlyn Nycole Floyd.
