Wildcats Finish No. 10 in Football Coaches’ Top 25 Postseason Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After a thrilling 35-28 victory over Benedictine (Kan.) in the 2018 NAIA National Championship, Morningside (Iowa) completed an undefeated season and remained atop the NAIA Coaches’ Postseason Top 25 poll. The Mustangs received all 16 first-place votes as the team from Sioux City captured its first national title in team history. The Bethel University Wildcats finished 10th in the final poll.
The Wildcats made program history by going undefeated at 10-0 during the regular season. They also achieved the highest ranking in school history at No. 3 during the season. After falling to Baker University in the first round of the NAIA Championships the Cats finished the season at 10-1.
Bethel was one of six teams from the Mid-South Conference ranked in the Top 25.
Reinhardt was No. 11 while Cumberlands (KY) finished No. 12. Lindsey Wilson came in at No. 18. Georgetown was No. 19 and Southeastern was No. 21. Bethel beat Lindsey Wilson, Georgetown and Southeastern on the road. The Wildcats beat Reinhardt in the season opening game at Wildcat Stadium. For a complete look at the poll visit: www.naia.org
