Barreto de Vicente Named Huntingdon Homecoming Queen

HUNTINGDON (January 16) — Foreign exchange student Maria Barreto de Vicente was named Huntingdon High School Homecoming Queen in a ceremony at the half of the Huntingdon and Camden boys’ basketball game.

Barreto de Vicente, a senior from La Palma, a province of Spain, was voted queen by the Huntingdon student body. Barreto de Vicente is the daughter of Rafa Barreto and Alicia de Vicente and is being hosted by Russell and Kathryn Bush.

Barreto de Vicente is a member of the Beta Club, ran cross-country in the fall and is a member of the Huntingdon Fillies basketball team. She was escorted by Tripp Johnson, a senior. Johnson is the son of Justin and Lindsey Johnson.

Kylie Tippitt was the other senior representative and is the daughter of Brannon and Summer Tippitt. She was escorted by Broox Bennett, the son of Seth and Jill Bennett.

Junior representatives were Brooklyn Barnhill and Katherine Meggs.

Barnhill, the daughter of Jarvis Barnhill and Amanda Smith, was escorted by Evan Raspberry, son of Nathan and Natasha Conrad and Jason and Angie Raspberry.

Meggs, daughter of Tim and Kristy Meggs, was escorted by Nick Smith, son of Eva Morschett.

Sophomore representatives were Knox Bennett and Savannah Vinson.

Bennett, daughter of Seth and Jill Bennett, was escorted by Hayes Eubanks, son of Alan and Kelly Eubanks.

Vinson, daughter of Steven and Lorrie Vinson, was escorted by Owen Hugueley, son of Paul and Lindsey Hugueley.

Freshman representatives were Millie Luther and Marcie Mitchell.

Luther, daughter of Derek Luther and Jana Luther, was escorted by Johns Nolen, son of Clay and Lori Nolen.

Mitchell, daughter of Chris and Anna Mitchell, was escorted by Phoenix Barnhill, son of Jarvis Barnhill and Amanda Smith.
