From the Aug 19, 2025 e-EditionHUNTINGDON — Mr. Billy Baker, 87, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Tuesday August 12, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM Friday August 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Crossroads Church Cemetery in Huntingdon with Brother Scott Carter and Brother Phillip Halter officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday August 15, 2025 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM.
Mr. Baker was born October 3, 1937 to the late John Clarence Baker and Bula Odell Baker. He is also preceded in death by his son, Jeff Baker; granddaughter, Megan Inman; brothers, Donald Baker and Gerald Baker. Billy retired from Henry I. Siegel in Bruceton after 36 years. He was a member of New Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Baker; daughters, Melinda Vailes and Amanda (Larry) Miller; son, Johnny (Teresa) Baker; grandchildren, Chase Inman, Michelle (Dustin) Ring, Brent Baker, Jocie (Garrett) Weatherford, Brittany Baker, Alicia (Devin) Harris, Nathan (Kayla) Ballentine; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Mae, Myles, Maddux, Dalton, Lillian, John Thomas, Daylan, Ivy, Kenadie, Kaden, Dallas, McKenzye and Memphis.
