From the Jan 14, 2025 e-EditionCOLLIERVILLE - Mr. Billy Joe Kirk, 92, of Collierville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services are Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home Huntingdon, Tenn.,, with Bro Philip Halter officiating. Interment to follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday, 11 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Kirk was born April 21, 1932, in Cedar Grove, to the late Bee Kirk and Ada Hamilton Kirk. He was the owner or Kirk’s Trucking. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Jane Kirk, and an infant son, Keith Kirk.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Walsh (Patrick) of Clinton, Arkansas, a son, Michael Kirk, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, his caregiver, Sharon Einbinder, of Moscow, Tennessee. He also leaves a grandson, Daniel Walsh (Kelsey) of Fort Collins, Colorado, two great-grandchildren, Sullivan and Darbie Walsh, and several nieces and nephews.
