Daniel Capua Welcomed As New MHS Band Director

McKENZIE (June 14) —Daniel Capua is the new band director for the McKenzie Middle School and McKenzie High School band programs. Capua is a 2024 graduate of UT-Martin, where he was in the marching band and served as field commander. He is a graduate of Westview High School.
Capua was welcomed to McKenzie during a meet-and-greet at Hometown Hangout on Friday, June 14.
Dr. Justin Barden, director of schools and Bobby Young, school board member welcomed Daniel Capua to McKenzie and the teaching faculty.
Band students met with Daniel Capua at Hometown Hangout as they are eager to start practicing for the upcoming competition season. Also pictured is Chase Barton, a teacher at McKenzie Elementary School and president of the Band Booster.
