Cats Beat Faulkner on Senior Day

McKENZIE (November 15) — The Bethel Wildcats closed their season Saturday in Walter Butler Stadium playing host to the Faulkner Eagles. It was Senior Day for the Wildcats with ceremonies taking place before the kickoff. It was also Pepsi MidAmerica Day at the stadium.
Bethel scored 28 points in each of the second and third quarters to put away the win on a day in which it compiled 450 yards of total offense.
The Wildcats opened the scoring with a Jordan Cason 14-yard run early in the second quarter. A Gianni Gamble pick-six, followed by a rushing touchdown from Andre Neal and a scoring pass from Avaun Rucker to Jamarion Ferguson accounted for the 28-0 halftime lead. Rucker later threw two touchdown passes to Shawne Jones before Neal and Ryan Kirk each added scoring rushes.
The Cats would go on to win 58-0 over the Eagles. Bethel has outscored Faulkner 120-0 in the last two meetings between the teams.
Bethel finished the day at 7-3 overall and 3-3 in the MSC. The Eagles finished their season at 2-8 and 0-6 in the league.
It was the 12th meeting between the two programs with Bethel leading the series 8-4.
It was the 341st game in modern-day history for the Wildcats. Bethel is 152-189 all-time.
