Humane Society Hosts Christmas Open House

McKENZIE (December 19) — It was a very merry Christmas for the animals at the Carroll County Humane Society at Thursday’s open house event thanks to the tireless work of the staff and the generosity of the community.
The walls of the shelter and multiple Christmas trees were lined with food, treats, toys and supplies for the residents of the shelter as well as those in foster homes.
Each animal in the care of CCHS had their name on an Angel Tree, and once those wishlists had been completed, donors kept the love coming with more donations up until and during the open house.
Sonic Drive-In of McKenzie donated frozen “pup cups” for the dogs to enjoy, and volunteers and guests had a blast feeding them to the eager pups.

Paris Landing Arts and Crafts Festival is September 12-13
The 26th annual Paris Lakeway Kiwanis Club Arts and Crafts Festival at Paris Landing State Park features over 115 local and regional crafters displaying and selling their handmade and hand-crafted items. The setting at Paris Landing State Park provides visitors with great views while shopping. There will also be food and beverage vendors, as well as a petting zoo. Admission and parking are free.
