Central Defeats Gleason
From the Apr 14, 2026 e-EditionBRUCETON (April 10) — Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School baseball hosted Gleason Friday. The host Tigers had a huge sixth inning en route to an 11-1 win.
Gleason struck first with a run in the top of the first, but Central tied it in the home half. The Tigers took the lead with a run in the third, then added a pair in the fourth and pulled away with seven in the sixth.
Tiger Drake Hollingsworth was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, an RBI and three runs scored. Parker Boyd was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Brayden Maness was 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base. Braxton Howard was 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base. Dalton Howard was 2-for-2 with a walk and a run scored. Tanner Walters was 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly, an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base. Gage Weatherly was 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Parker Finley was 1-for-4 with an RBI.
Bulldog Parker Morgan was 1-for-3 with a run scored. Ty Keeling was 1-for-3.
Junah Smith earned the complete-game win for Central, allowing one unearned run on two hits while walking none and striking out three.
Bryce Pettit took the loss for Gleason, allowing ten runs (seven earned) on 13 hits while walking three and striking out two in five and a third innings. Parker Morgan faced the final three batters, allowing one earned run on two hits with no walks.
