Clayhill, LLC to Host Rodeo This Weekend
From the Jul 13, 2021 e-EditionATWOOD — Clayhill, LLC at 1315 Rimmer Road is hosting the Stampede Lone Star Rodeo Friday, July 16, and Saturday, July 17, at 8 p.m. The rodeo, co-sanctioned by Lone Star Rodeo and the International Professional Rodeo Association, guarantees attendees will see past and future rodeo champions and local cowboys and cowgirls performing in the sanctioned contest events.
The rodeo’s audience will watch professional events like Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc Riding, Cowgirls Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Cowgirls Barrel Racing and Brahma Bull Riding.
Special attractions before the rodeo kicks off include death-defying chuckwagon races and two family-fun events. The Best Dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl Contest and the Kids Gold Rush begin at 7:30 p.m. for children 10 and under. Rodeo clown and barrelman Reggie Purvis will make an appearance at the rodeo.
Tickets can be purchased at the gate using cash or card. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for ages 4-12 and free for children three and under. The event will proceed rain or shine.
