Carroll County Fair Begins Wednesday
From the Aug 6, 2024 e-EditionHUNTINGDON — The annual Carroll County Fair is Wednesday to Saturday, August 7-10 at the Carroll County Civic Center/Fairgrounds.
Wednesday features Predator Monster Truck rides, the carnival and a petting zoo. Gates open at 5 p.m.
Thursday is Senior Citizen Day 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, contact 731-986-1985. Gates to the carnival open at 5 p.m. for the Predator Monster Truck rides, carnival and petting zoo.
Friday is the USA Pullers Tractor Pull, carnival and petting zoo. Gates open at 5 p.m.
Saturday, Rustic Harmony performs at 6:30 p.m. The carnival, petting zoo, plus fireworks start at 9 p.m.

Saturday, August 10, 9 a.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a fee of $20.
a. Boys and Girls under 6 months begins at 9 a.m.
b. Boys and Girls 6 to 11 months begins at 9:30 a.m.
c. Boys and Girls 12-23 months begins at 10 a.m.
Tiny Mr. and Miss Carroll County (2-3 year olds)
Saturday, August 10, 10:30 a.m. Contestants must be 2 or 3 years old to enter and be a resident of the county. Registration is from 10:20-10:40 a.m. There is a registration fee of $20. Boys-2 years old and under 4, Girls-2 years old and under 4.
The revues are followed by the dog show inside the Civic Center.
Dog Show — 2024
Chairperson is Laura Keeton. Saturday, August 10 at 2 p.m. Door Entry Fee is $5. Animal Entry Fee is $5 per dog. If you are entering a dog in the dog show, you don’t have to pay the $5 door entry fee.
Rules and Regulations
1. Registration begins at 1 p.m.
2. Dogs must be under control by owner at all times.
3. Trophies will be awarded for 1st place, ribbons will be awarded for 2nd, 3rd & 4th places.
4. All dogs entered must have current shots.
5. Classes A, B, C, D will not be eligible for “Best of Show”.

Paris Landing Arts and Crafts Festival is September 12-13
The 26th annual Paris Lakeway Kiwanis Club Arts and Crafts Festival at Paris Landing State Park features over 115 local and regional crafters displaying and selling their handmade and hand-crafted items.
