GLEASON, Tenn. —  Funeral services for Dewey Wayne Ellis are Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
 Mr. Eillis, 82, died at Jackson Madison County General Hospital on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
He was a member of Long Heights Baptist Church, a retired businessman, and a heavy equipment operator. He was born in Greenfield on March 2, 1943, to Benjamin F. and Eva Doster Ellis.
 He is survived by his wife, Jane Ellis of Gleason, two daughters, Sonja (Dr. Doug) Eliand of Tarpon Springs, Florida, and Lori (Keith) Robertson of McKenzie, Two stepdaughters,  Tonya (Jeff) Miles of Troy and Tammy (Stacy) Collins of Gleason, five grandchildren, Allie Eiland ( Lindsay), Lesley (Jonathan) Davidson, Jillian ( Andre) Curtis, Luke (Katelyn) Robertson, and Clint (Kelly) Eiland and five step- grandchildren, Mallary (Sam) Beutler, Jacob (Lindsey) Hodges, Rebecca Hodges, Kaitlyn (Seke) Henderson and Keaton (Emily) Collins, five great-grandchildren, Cooper, Callie, Ridley, Thomas and Patrick Ace and five step-great-grandchildren, Esme, Wilson, Ruth Collins and Millie.
 He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ellis, and two brothers, William Ellis and Buddy Ellis.
 The family has asked you to consider a memorial donation to the Long Heights Baptist Church Building Fund if you would like to donate.
