From the Feb 17, 2026 e-EditionGLEASON, Tenn. — Services for Dorothy Connell, 84, of Gleason, are Friday, February 13, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Gleason Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Gleason. Visitation will begin Friday morning at 11 a.m. until the time of her funeral service.
She was born June 21, 1941 and died February 9, 2026.
She was married to Jerry Connell for 62 years. They are survived by their four daughters, Patrice Devine of Louisville, Kentucky, Denise Connell of Gleason, Cris (Mark) Stafford of Gleason, and Camille (Tommy) Legins of Martin. Dorothy leaves behind eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Dorothy worked at the Bank of Gleason for 46 years until her retirement in 2015. She loved her family and her home, where she lived for the last 55 years. She was so very loved, and will be greatly missed.
