HUNTINGDON — Mrs. Dorothy May Rushing, 81, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Saturday, July 4, 2026, at her home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens. Brother James Keen officiating.
Dorothy was born March 30, 1945 to the late Charles Wyatt and Callie Ellison Wyatt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jeremy Hill; three brothers, Freeman Wyatt, Maurice Wyatt and Jack Wyatt; two sisters, Inez Haynes and Louise Broach.
She leaves behind her husband, Joe Howard Rushing; two sons, Martin Joe Rushing of Huntingdon, Tennessee and John Randall (Genetta) Rushing of Huntingdon, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Logan, Shannon, Tiffany and Lindsey; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon, Natalie, Brady, Silas, Joelee, Leo and Arya.
