Dresden Senior Honored for Military Commitment
From the Sep 8, 2026 e-EditionDRESDEN (September 4) — Dresden High School senior and football player Ignacio Becerra was recognized before Friday’s game against West Carroll for enlisting in the Army National Guard. Recruiters joined Becerra on the field for a ceremonial swearing-in. Head Coach Justin Cruse praised Becerra’s character and willingness to serve others, saying the senior has represented the Dresden football program well.

Matt Aird Named Paul Harris Fellow
McKENZIE — Matt Aird was recently recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow, the highest recognition bestowed by a Rotarian. The recognition was given in Aird’s honor by his wife, Misty Aird, who also had the honor of pinning her husband during the presentation. Club vice president and Foundation Chairman Jason R. Martin presented Aird with the Paul Harris Fellow certificate.
