Eric Duffield Davis

McKENZIE, Tenn. — Eric Duffield Davis, 59, died on November 6, 2025.

Eric was born on October 3, 1966, to William Rutherford and Judy Hickerson Davis. He attended school in McKenzie until 1979, when the family moved to Whidbey Island, Washington. He graduated from Coupeville High School and Bellingham Technical College in Washington.

He began his Boy Scout journey in McKenzie. While in Washington, he attended the World Scout Jamboree in Alberta, Canada, and the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He became an Eagle Scout and was awarded the national honor society’s Order of the Arrow.

Eric had a long career in computer technology as a data center systems architect for companies such as Walt Disney, Cisco Systems, Amazon Web Services, and Jacobs International.

He lived and worked in Washington, California, and Oregon before rejoining his parents in McKenzie in 2022.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Margaret Hickerson of McKenzie, and his paternal grandparents, William and Gertrude Davis of Louisville, Kentucky.

No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial donations may be made to the Carroll County Humane Society.
