Fillies Advance with 4-2 Overtime Win Over McKenzie

McKENZIE (October 7) — McKenzie High School hosted Huntingdon Tuesday for the first round of the District 12A Soccer Tournament. The Lady Rebels led twice, but the Fillies tied it each time and forced overtime, where they claimed a 4-2 win to advance to the championship game against Westview.
The loss ended the season for the Lady Rebels.
Fillies Madelynn Anderson and Abbi Sykes each scored two goals. Savannah Vinson had two assists and Anderson had one.
Lady Rebels Kaydynce Barksdale and Stephanie Padilla each scored a goal, and Bella Sass had an assist.
Huntingdon goalkeeper Maddie Brinkman had seven saves.
McKenzie goalkeeper Alleigh Britt recorded 12 saves.

McKENZIE (July 31) — McKenzie High School hosted Obion County Central Friday evening for an all-Rebel scrimmage at the MHS practice field. The host Rebels looked strong on both sides of the ball, especially during the varsity portion of the contest.
