Fillies Top Lady Rebels in Straight Sets

McKENZIE (September 15) — McKenzie High School hosted Huntingdon Monday for a district volleyball contest. The visiting Fillies took the match in straight sets: 25-13, 25-6 and 25-10.
Huntingdon's Ellie Wilson had three kills, a dozen aces, one dig and one assist. Sunny Carter had ten kills. Taylor Canovan had four kills, two aces, five digs, 20 assists and a block. Knox Bennett had one kill, five aces and five digs. Millie Singleton had four kills and two blocks.
Filly Cruz Perez had four kills, an ace and an assist. Emalynn Maness had two kills. Meredith Perritt had an ace, four digs and two assists. Grier Bartholomew had four digs. Kylie Tippitt had an ace, three digs and an assist. Maylyn Turner had a kill and a block.
Lady Rebel Addison Milam had two kills. Molly French had a kill and a block. Ashley Dunavant and Ridley Holt each had a kill, and Kynadie Brown had an ace.
The two teams will meet again Thursday, September 25 in Huntingdon, beginning with a JV match at 5 p.m.
