Gleason Bulldogs Edge Greenfield in District
From the Feb 25, 2025 e-EditionMcKENZIE (February 24) - Gleason Bulldogs defeated in-county Class 1A rival Greenfield on Monday, February 24 during the District 13 tournament at Bethel University.
Both advance to play again with Gleason moving to the championship game with Union City and Greenfield playing in the consolation round with South Fulton.
In the fast-paced contest, Gleason edged Greenfield in the first three quarters with Greenfield slightly closing the gap in the fourth for a final score of 64 (Gleason) to 55 for Greenfield.
Gleason scored 19, 12, 14 and 19 in the respective quarters.
Greenfield scored 14, 11, 8, and 22 in the quarters.
Gleason’s Drake Lehmkuhl led all scorers with 27 followed team mate Kade Sawyers at 20, Parker Morgan with 7, Brody Sanders with 6, and Ashton Morgan with 4.
Porter led Greenfield by 20, Green 14, Sullivan 7, Brown 7, Biggs 3, and Sparkman 2.
