Gleason Splits Wins with Dresden
From the Nov 11, 2025 e-EditionGLEASON (November 3) — Gleason Junior High hosted Dresden Monday for a pair of basketball contests. The visiting Lady Lions were in control throughout for a 47-22 win. The Lions seemed headed for a similar result, but the Bulldogs rallied big in the second half for a 45-43 victory.
Dresden Lady Lions 47, Gleason Lady Bulldogs 22
The Lady Lions set the tone with a 14-6 lead after the first frame and had a 9-6 edge in the second for a 23-12 halftime lead. Dresden had advantages in the third and fourth of 13-6 and 11-4, respectively.
Lady Lion Charlee Sutton led all scorers with 19 points. Hallie Davis scored eleven, including a three-pointer. Emzy Collins had six points, and Kinsley Smith scored five with a three. Jencee West hit a three-pointer, and Maddie Parham also scored three points.
Gabi Pinkston led Gleason with a dozen, including a three-pointer. Parker Vaughn scored five, Kinley Baumgartel had three points, and Delaney Harrison had a pair.
Bulldogs 45, Lions 43
Dresden had a 14-11 lead after the opening frame, extended with a 16-7 tilt in the second for a 30-18 halftime lead. Gleason cut the deficit to four with a 15-7 advantage in the third, then took the lead and the win in a 12-6 fourth.
Bulldog Lawson Tucker led all scorers with 24 points. Preston Lynch and Grant Pinkston each scored six, Lynch with a three-pointer. Avery Black had five points, Jace Dilday hit a three, and Cameron Morton hit a free throw.
Case West led Dresden with 13 points. Jon Reece Allman and Triston Walters each scored eight. Cannon West had seven points with a three, Will Forrester scored four, and Austin Seaton had three points.
