Mr. Bateman, 75, died Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born in Trezevant on October 10, 1948, to L.H. Bateman and Arnelle Tate Bateman. He was a retired CPA for the Senior Housing Administration.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimber Lee Bateman of Senatobia, Miss. and Fara (Chad) Sudlow of Germantown, a sister, Martha Hopper of Nashville, two brothers, Lloyd (Hope) Bateman and Clyde Bateman, all of Trezevant, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Kathy Pinson Bateman, a sister, Ruby Nell Fuller and brother, Dwayne Bateman.
