From the Oct 7, 2025 e-EditionMr. Homer Hicks, 85, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee, died Monday, September 29, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services were Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Sellers officiating. Interment was in Christian Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers who will serve are Dylan Hicks, Cade Wood, Colt Wood, Chad Wood, Dennis Bush, Max Hall, Matt Ramsey, and Brett Kee. Honorary pallbearers will be C.B. Kee, Brandon Walker, Carson Walker, and Christopher Cary.
Mr. Hicks was born February 2, 1940, in Tatumville, Tennessee, to the late Horace and Chessie Riddick Hicks. He was retired as a heavy equipment operator for the Milan Arsenal, a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ and served in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lou Hicks two daughters, Gina Bush (Dennis), Sherry Hicks, both of Cedar Grove, a son, Jason Hicks (Glenda) of Huntingdon, eight grandchildren, Cassie Wood, Brandon Walker, Jacqualyn Ramsey, Shannon Loftis, Dylan Hicks, Leah Cary, Brett Kee, and Brittany Gowan. and eleven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
