Huntingdon Beauty Pageant is April 24
From the Mar 16, 2021 e-EditionHuntingdon Bands are hosting the Huntingdon Hometown Beauty Pageants on April 24 in the Huntingdon High School Gym.
Pageants range from age 2 to 19 in the one-day event. Admission is $5. Children 4 and under are free. One adult per paid contestant is free.
The first pageant is at noon for the 2-3 year olds, 12:30 for 4-5, 1 p.m. for the 6-9 ages, 1:30 for the 10-12 ages, 2 p.m. for the 13-15 ages, and 2:30 for the 16-19 age. All start times are approximate.
Trophies will be awarded for king/queen and the first top three alternates plus special categories.
There was no 2020 contest because of the pandemic.

McKenzie School Board Approves $15.7 Million Budget
McKENZIE (July 7) — The McKenzie Special School District Board of Education approved a $15.7 million budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year during a brief meeting Tuesday afternoon. Also approved was the certified property tax rate of $.7483 per $100 assessed value, unchanged from last year. The tax rate is distributed between the General Purpose Fund ($.4898) and the Debt Service Fund ($.2585).
