Huntingdon Celebrates Seniors in Last Regular Season Game

HUNTINGDON (February 14) — Huntingdon High School and the Huntingdon Point Guard Club honored senior cheerleaders, Fillies and Mustangs basketball players who were participating in their last regular season game for the 2025-26 season in between games against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central.
Senior cheerleaders were:
-Claudia Cooper, who was escorted by Brooke and Leslie Cooper. Copper has cheered for four years.
-Korra Doyle, who was escorted by Hunter and Kerri Beth Arnold. Doyle has cheered for three years.
-McKenzie Drinkard, who was escorted by Andy Travis and Cristy Miller. Drinkard has cheered for three years.
-Aubrie Harris, who was escorted by Shawn Harris and Jillian Goble. Harris has cheered for four years.
-Isabella Souza, who was escorted by Roberto and Alessandra Souza. Souza has cheered for four years.
The one senior Fillies basketball player is Maria Barreto de Vicente, #20, an exchange student from Spain. She was escorted by her hosts, Kathy and Russell Bush. 2025-26 was Maria’s only year of basketball.
Senior basketball players were:
-Caleb Ezell, #2, escorted by Monica and Clint Ezell. Caleb has been a member of the basketball team for four years.
-Kelton Johnson, #3, was escorted by Kodia and Trey Johnson. Johnson played basketball for four years.
HHS closed the season with a sweep.
The Fillies got a big win, 81-24, led by Kyrstin Moore and Knox Bennett with 17 points each. Ava Finley led the Lady Tigers with six points.
The Mustangs also won decisively, 55-27, led by Caleb Ezell with 18 points. Junah Smith led the Tigers with ten points.

Rebels Fall to Minutemen
LEXINGTON (August 18) — The McKenzie Middle School Rebels traveled Tuesday to face Lexington Middle School football at Caywood Elementary. The host Minutemen stopped a deep Rebel drive to start the game, then took control on both sides of the ball en route to a 36-0 win.

ATWOOD (August 13) — The West Carroll Junior High War Eagles hosted South Fulton Middle School Thursday night. The visiting Red Devils were in control and kept the lead throughout for a 36-6 final.

McKenzie Shooting Sports Celebrates Phenomenal Season
HUNTINGDON (August 16) — The McKenzie Shooting Sports team gathered Sunday at the Carroll County Shooting Sports Park to celebrate a successful season. Shooters were presented with awards earned at matches throughout the season.
