Huntingdon defeats McKenzie 3-0 in volleyball action

Huntingdon (September 1) Huntingdon and McKenzie meet on the volleyball court at Huntingdon High School with the Fillies earning a three set to zero win over the visiting Lady Rebels. The JV teams from both schools meet to start the night with Huntingdon winning both sets. The Fillies won the first set 25-20 and the second set 25-14.

In the varsity segment of the night the Fillies won over the Lady Rebels 3-0. The Fillies got off to a fast start in the first set as they scored the first seven points of the match to take a 7-0 lead behind the serves of Taylor Canovan.

The Lady Rebels broke the streak with a point, but the Fillies scored the next six points to take a 13-1 lead and went on the win the set 25-10.

The second set started with a much closer score as the Fillies led 10-7 early but would outscore the Lady Rebels 15-4 for the remainder of the set to take the second set 25-11.

The Fillies also dominated the third set as well, winning 25-14 to win the match.
