Huntingdon Police Reports
From the Nov 5, 2024 e-EditionForgery — On October 24, according to a report made by Officer Angie Barker, she received a call from Sgt. Drake Whitworth, who is the School Resource Officer at the Huntingdon Primary School. Sgt Whitworth stated that he had a woman dressed in all black (later identified as Ayanna Hicks, 32), enter the building with a friend in black and red clothing (Ashley Nelson.) Sgt. Whitworth stated that they approached the visitor sign-in sheet without speaking; signed the visitor sign-in sheet and the desk secretary asked if they needed help. Hicks stated she was there to see her kids and gave her kids names. The desk secretary was aware of a foster care situation and called their foster parent and learned that there was a no contact order in place. When the officers tried to approach the vehicle, Hicks drove off and left her friend. She also had signed the sheet with the foster parent name, which is forgery. Investigator Joey Hedge located Hicks, and she was taken into custody.
Shoplifting — On October 3, according to a report made by Officer Ethan Parham, he cited Brian Michael Jones, 45, for theft of property involving merchandise. Jones was observed using self-checkout aisle at Walmart, on ten separate occasions, during which he failed to scan 25 items. He left the store without paying and owes $211.67 to Walmart.
DUI, Vandalism — On October 12, according to a report made by Officer Malachi Arline, officers were dispatched to McDonald’s parking lot in Huntingdon following reports of a vehicle striking a pole in the drive-through. The driver, Mario Guzman, 46, was behind the wheel of a silver Chevy Silverado and towing a boat. A strong odor of alcohol came from him, watery eyes, slurred speech, and unsteadiness. He was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Reckless Driving, Evading Arrest — On October 13, according to a report made by Officer Malachi Arline, he observed a white Nissan Altima driven by Hailey Forest and a white Chevy Silverado driven by Ja’Lahn Morris. Chevy was following the Altima too closely. The Nissan Altima was driving 52 in a 35-mph zone, so Officer Arline initiated a traffic stop and in response both vehicles sped up to a higher rate of speed. The pursuit lasted five miles before he was forced to cancel it due to a collision involving his vehicle and he was transported to the hospital for evaluation. During the investigation, the same Chevy Silverado was spotted again traveling down Buena Vista. Hailey Forest was driving, with Ja’Lahn in passenger seat. Sergeant Parham conducted the traffic stop. When questioned, Hailey admitted to running from law enforcement, explaining they fled because Ja’Lahn was scared and needed to use the restroom. Hailey stated they turned onto Maytown Rd., She acknowledged seeing the blue lights while Ja’Lahn claims not paying attention at the time. Both Hailey and Ja’Lahn confirmed their roles in the incident. Hailey was driving the white Altima, and Ja’Lahn was in the Chevy Silverado. After THP addressed the wreck, Sergeant Parham continued to work on the details of the case.
