Huntingdon Police Reports

DUI; 1st Offense — Robert Lyles, 37, was arrested on June 1 for driving under the influence and violation of implied consent law. On June 1, a 911 call came in about a vehicle swerving multiple times and almost hitting oncoming traffic. After Officer Townes located the vehicle matching the description and witnessed it cross the center line multiple times and initiated a traffic stop. After speaking to the defendant operating the vehicle, Townes noticed a bottle of orange juice in the center console along with a plastic cup with orange juice and ice that looked diluted. The driver exited the vehicle and did poorly on the standard field sobriety tests. There was a half-gallon bottle of Gordon’s vodka found in the passenger floorboard of the vehicle and the plastic cup smelled like alcohol.

Harassment — Clemens F. Borntreger, 24, was issued a citation and given 10 days to book himself into jail on May 29. Officer Roberts responded to a home on Tower Road, Huntingdon in regard to a dog barking and the owner of the dogs, Clemens, shouting threatening statements towards neighbors. The dogs were clearly barking and the defendant was shouting at the neighbors when officer Roberts arrived on scene. After speaking with the victims and watching the recording of the defendant’s harassing behaviors it was decided to charge Clemens with harassment.

Burglary — Eddie Reyes, 52, was transported to Carroll County Jail for booking on June 2 for theft of property from Walmart. On June 1, Walmart security contacted the police department. Officer Brad Allen reported there and spoke with store security, and they said on April 28, Eddie Reyes came into the store and took a spray can of deodorant without paying. Then he came back on May 27, and once again took a spray deodorant. On May 25, Reyes signed a ban notice in Paris Walmart stating he would not come on any Walmart property. Reyes was then issued warrants for theft of property, criminal trespass, and burglary.

Theft of Property, Possession of Sch. 1 with Intent — Ayanna V. Hicks, 31, was arrested on May 31 after the Huntingdon Police Department was notified by Jackson Police that the defendant had stolen a vehicle and was headed to Huntingdon to take her juvenile children and flee to Georgia. Jackson Police Department kept in contact with Huntingdon officers about where she was tracking her and then were notified, she was at Walmart. Officer Townes located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Once the vehicle stopped, the defendant was ordered to step out of the car and an odor of marijuana came from the vehicle. In the vehicle, in Hick’s purse, was a cigarillo package with five different colored pressed pills with a Bitcoin image on it. The pills tested positive for methamphetamine with an additional substance of fentanyl. Hicks was transported to Carroll County Jail.
