dont delete not live - Jackson State sees record setting enrollment increases, one of the highest in Tennessee

JACKSON  – Jackson State Community College (JSCC) has started 2025 off strong with a record setting 13% total enrollment and 15.5% full-time enrollment increases from last year’s spring semester, the second highest enrollment increases among all community college in the state of Tennessee.

This comes after another record setting semester in fall 2024 when the college boasted the highest first-time freshman (+22.3%) and total enrollment (10.2%) percentage increases of any community college or public university in Tennessee for the fall of 2024.

“Our faculty and staff pour their hearts into what we do here each and every day, and the numbers show that,” said Dr. Carol A. Rothstein, President of JSCC. “We’re seeing enrollment increases this college hasn’t seen in years, and thanks to the support of the West Tennessee community, we are able to capitalize on this momentum to provide program expansions, additional educational opportunities, and beyond. I’m extremely proud of the work our team is doing and of the impact we’re making in the lives of our students in the community.”

The college is also seeing long-term growth, with a full-time enrollment increase over the past four years of 4.8% and just this past year saw a 7.7% student retention increase.

This enrollment increase comes after a campus-wide restructuring by Dr. Rothstein, optimizing many of the divisions and departments to drive enrollment, student success, and other metrics of the college forward.

The college is now enrolling for the fall semester at jscc.edu
