James Greer Band Starts Nights on Broadway

McKENZIE — The annual Nights on Broadway series kicked off Thursday, June 5, 7 p.m. in downtown McKenzie with the music of the James Greer Band. The second event is Thursday, June 19 with the band 24/7. Crooked Creek performs July 17. Longshot performs August 5. Fajita Brothers performs September 4. Flashback performs September 18. The events are in downtown McKenzie. Please bring a lawn chair. The events are free of charge.

New Portrait of Hal Holbrook Unveiled at The Dixie PAC
HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — The legacy of the late actor Hal Holbrook has been immortalized in a new oil portrait, unveiled Wednesday, August 19, at the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center. The painting, created by artist and former art professor Lindon Noe, now hangs in the Center, serving as a companion piece to an existing portrait of Holbrook’s wife, the late Dixie Carter-Holbrook.
