HOLLOW ROCK, Tenn. — Mrs. Janie Cobb, 83, of Hollow Rock, died Thursday August 13, 2026 at Henry County Health and Rehabilitation in Paris, Tennessee.
Funeral Services are 1:00 p.m. Monday August 17, 2026 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Brother Jerry Roach and Scotty Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Sunday August 16, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday August 17, 2026 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
Janie was born April 21,1943 to the late Walter Lyles Hodge and Joanne Waugh Hodge. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Cobb; three brothers, Howard Dwayne Hodge, Marvin Wayne Hodge and Huey L. Hodge; four sisters, Martha Jo Douglas, Margaret Lois Seaton, Hazel Maxine Swanner and Iris Ellington.
She is survived by her son, Chris Cobb of Paris, Tennessee; one sister, Barbara (Jerry) Roach of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two brothers Marlin Tyler (Madonna) Hodge of Xenia, Ohio and Lavander Ivan (Jamie) Hodge of Humboldt, Tennessee; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Bobby Cobb, Brian Bishop, Kelly Hodge, T.D. Hollland, Brent Cobb and Scott Gallimore.
