Lady Rebels Best Westview, Rebels Fall
From the Apr 29, 2025 e-EditionMARTIN (April 22) — Westview High School hosted McKenzie Tuesday on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Martin for district tennis matches. The visiting Lady Rebels claimed a 5-2 win, while the Chargers defeated the Rebels 4-0.
The Lady Rebels were 3-2 in singles play with wins by Ashley Dunavant (8-2) over Sophie Bowlin, Willow Arnold (8-4) over Audri Dowdy and Morgan Little (8-5) over Cami Carlson. Ava Hastings fell to Gryphon Roland (8-1), and Kyla Beveridge was defeated by Rylan Diehl (8-5).
In doubles play, Hastings and Dunavant topped Bowlin and Diehl (8-0) and Beveridge and Arnold defeated Dowdy and Carlson (8-1).
The Rebels were 0-3 in singles play. Owen Walker fell to Alistair Braddock (8-3), Caleb Burke fell to Dylan Parker (8-3) and Davarion Gilbert was defeated by Carter Peevyhouse (8-5).
In doubles play, Walker and Burke fell to Braddock and Parker (8-1).

McKENZIE (July 31) — McKenzie High School hosted Obion County Central Friday evening for an all-Rebel scrimmage at the MHS practice field. The host Rebels looked strong on both sides of the ball, especially during the varsity portion of the contest.
