Lady Rebels Fall in Season Finale
From the Oct 7, 2025 e-Edition
MARTIN (October 2) — McKenzie High School wrapped the regular soccer season Thursday with a pivotal district match at Westview High School. Up 2-0 early in the contest, it looked like the Lady Rebels would end the regular season undefeated and claim the top seed in the district, but the Lady Chargers scored nine unanswered goals for a 9-2 win.
Lady Rebel Stephanie Padilla scored a goal and had an assist. Sophie Dameron also scored a goal.
McKenzie goalkeeper Alleigh Britt recorded 21 saves.
The loss puts the Lady Rebels in second place in the district, and they will host Huntingdon in the first round of the postseason, while top-seed Westview earned a first-round bye.
Further tournament details are not yet available.
