Lady Rebels Fall to McEwen

McKENZIE (April 6) — McKenzie High School hosted McEwen Monday for a district softball game. Lady Rebels Addyson Littleton and Aurora Johnson each crushed a two-run home run, but the Warriorettes mustered more offense overall and claimed a 7-4 road win.
McKenzie struck first with two runs in the bottom of the first frame. McEwen answered with four in the top of the third, then added three in the fifth. The Lady Rebels answered with two in the home half.
Lady Rebel Aurora Johnson was 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored. Addyson Littleton was 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored. Haylee Beard was 2-for-2 with a walk. Maggie Hall was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored.
Warriorette Morgan Henry was 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored. Tylee Tummins was 4-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Carly Baker was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Ava Lastovka was 2-for-4. Layla Fleming was 1-for-4 with a double. Kylie Ange was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.
Morgan Henry earned the complete-game win for McEwen, allowing four runs (two earned) on six hits while walking two and striking out six.
Aurora Johnson took the complete-game loss for McKenzie, allowing seven runs (one earned) on 11 hits while walking one and striking out four.
