Lady Rebels Fall to Houston County

McKENZIE (April 14) — McKenzie High School hosted Houston County Monday for a district softball contest. The Lady Rebels fell behind early for an 8-3 loss to the Lady Irish.
Houston County struck first with a run in the top of the first and added four more in the second. Both teams plated three runs in the sixth.
Lady Rebel Aurora Johnson was 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, a walk, three RBIs and a run scored. Maggie Hall went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Ady Freeman was 1-for-2 with a walk. Braylin Auvenshine went 1-for-4 with a run scored.
Aurora Johnson took the complete-game loss for McKenzie, allowing eight runs (five earned) on ten hits while striking out seven and walking five.
