Lady Rebels, Rockets Claim Wins
From the Feb 17, 2026 e-EditionCLARKSBURG (February 10) — McKenzie High School traveled to Clarksburg Tuesday for a pair of district basketball games. The Lady Rebels pulled away for a 77-25 score. The Rebels fall to the Rockets 79-68.
McKenzie Lady Rebels 77, Clarksburg Lady Rockets 25
The Lady Rebels began the first quarter 22-4. Lady Rebel Jaycee Stafford scored a three-point shot, a pair and two free throw shots. Molly French had two three-point shots. Addyson Littleton had two three-point shots and a pair. Ava Hastings had a three-point shot. Madeline Gottshall had a free throw shot. Lady Rocket Brooklyn Laws had two pairs.
The Lady Rebels kept the lead at halftime, 31-15. Lady Rebel Stafford hit five free throw shots. Littleton and Alleigh Britt each scored a pair. Lady Rocket Natalie Scott scored a pair and two free throw shots. Addison Milam hit a three-point shot. Willams and Bolen each had a pair.
The Lady Rebels extended the lead to 67-19. Lady Rebel Stafford scored three three-point shots, three pairs and three free throw shots. Littleton followed with three pairs and two free throw shots. Auvenshine had a three-point shot and a pair. French hit a three-point shot and Gottshall hit two free throw shots. Lady Rocket Williams hit a three-point shot and Milam hit a free throw.
The Lady Rebels scored furthermore to win the game, 77-25, led by Zayda Scates with two pairs. French, Britt and Johnson each had a pair. Lady Rockets Bolen and Townsend each had a pair. Laws hit two free throw shots.
Jaycee Stafford led the Lady Rebels with 30 points. Addyson Littleton scored 15 points. Molly French scored 11 points.
Brooklyn Laws led the Lady Rockets with six points. Molly Willams had five points. Natalie Scott, Makenna Bolen and Addison Milam each scored four points.
Clarksburg Rockets 79, McKenzie Rebels 68
The Rockets set the tone with a 23-10 score in the first quarter. Rocket Erin Dickson had five pairs. Jake Miller hit a three-point shot and two pairs. Clay Glosson had two pairs and Reagan Halter had a pair. Rebels Eli Vinson and Kason Brown had two pairs each. Cooper Davidson had a pair.
The Rockets kept the ten-point lead at halftime 41-31. Rocket Weston Vestal scored four pairs, followed by Garrett Bartholomew with two three-point shots. Glosson and Halter each had a pair. Rebel Kason Brown had a three-point shot and three pairs. Cole Brown had two pairs. Vinson and Nolan Fawcett each hit a three-point shot. Davidson had a pair.
The Rockets continued momentum for a 62-55 lead in the third quarter, led by Dickson with four pairs and a free throw shot. Trae Cobb had three pairs. Miller had two pairs and Glosson had a pair. Rebel Fawcett scored two pairs and two three-point shots. Kason Brown had three pairs. Cole Brown had two three-point shots, and Davidson had two free throw shots.
The Rockets stayed in control to win 79-68. Dickson had three pairs and a free throw shot, followed by Cobb with a pair and three free throw shots. Vestal had a pair and a free throw shot. Miller had a pair. Rebel Kason Brown had three pairs along with Fawcett with two pairs. Cole Brown had a pair and a free throw shot.
Erin Dickson led the Rockets with 26 points. Jake Miller scored 13 points. Weston Vestal scored 11 points.
Kason Brown led the Rebels with 25 points, followed by Nolan Fawcett with 17 points. Cole Brown had 13 points.
