Lady Tigers Defeat Lady Rebels
From the Apr 7, 2026 e-EditionBRUCETON (March 30) — Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School hosted McKenzie Monday for a district softball contest. The visiting Lady Rebels struck first, but the Lady Tigers took over the game for a 17-2 win in four innings.
Lady Tiger Kyleigh Baker was 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs. Abby Baker was 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored. Emy Olds was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Amelia Bennett was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Lilly McGee was 1-for-1 with two walks, a sacrifice fly, two RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base. Madison Holder was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, three runs scored and a stolen base. McKenzye Castleman was 1-for-2 with a walk, two RBIs and two runs scored. Cloe Morgan was 1-for-4.
Lady Rebel Addyson Littleton was 1-for-2 with a home run. Kailie Hudgins was 1-for-1 with a double. Maggie Hall was 1-for-2 with a double. Aurora Johnson was 0-for-2 with an RBI. Kynadie Brown was 0-for-2 with a run scored.
Kyleigh Baker earned the complete-game win for Central, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits while walking one and striking out four.
Aurora Johnson took the loss for McKenzie, allowing ten runs (five earned) on eight hits while walking three and striking out one in two and two-thirds innings. Braylin Auvenshine pitched the final two-thirds of an inning, allowing seven runs (five earned) on six hits and a walk.

Paris Landing Arts and Crafts Festival is September 12-13
The 26th annual Paris Lakeway Kiwanis Club Arts and Crafts Festival at Paris Landing State Park features over 115 local and regional crafters displaying and selling their handmade and hand-crafted items.
