Lady Tigers End Season with Semifinal Loss
From the May 12, 2026 e-EditionMcKENZIE (May 7) — The Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Lady Tigers ended their season Thursday with a 3-2 loss to Houston County in the semifinals of the District 12A Softball Tournament.
The Lady Irish jumped ahead with two runs in the top of the second, then added another in the third. Central plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Lady Tiger Lilly McGee was 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Kyleigh Baker was 1-for-2. Addison Tucker was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Amelia Bennett was 1-for-3. Cloe Morgan was 0-for-2 with a walk and an RBI.
Houston County’s Jakelyn Boone was 1-for-2 with a home run and a walk. Madelynn Brooks was 1-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base. Kenleigh Finch was 1-for-3.
Brilee Anderson earned the complete-game win for the Lady Irish, allowing two earned runs on five hits while walking three and striking out six.
Madison Holder took the loss for Central, allowing three runs (one earned) on three hits while walking one and striking out one in four innings. Kyleigh Baker threw the final three frames, allowing no runs or hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
