Liberty All Church hosted its annual Memorial Day program on Sunday, May 24.

This year’s guest speaker was Lieutenant Colonel Emily Wolfe, retired U.S. Air Force.

During her distinguished 21-year military career, Wolfe served at Air Force bases in Mississippi and Ohio on active duty as a medical/surgical/pediatrics nurse and in Japan as a flight nurse and executive officer.

As a reservist, Wolfe served at bases in Texas and California. She deployed four times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel, including two deployments to Germany and two to Afghanistan.

Wolfe’s husband, Brett, is a retired combat medic who served 23 years in the Air Force. They live in Huntingdon with their daughter, Remy.

Wolfe now serves as a civilian with the Joint Trauma System, Military Orthopaedic Trauma Registry, continuing her commitment to caring for America’s service members and veterans.

During the ceremony, Emily Coleman sang “The Star Spangled Banner.”

Allen Espey recognized the veterans present, then read the names of the 78 veterans buried in the Liberty All Cemetery.

Joie Butler and Harlon Butler carried out the individual flags that were placed on each of the veterans’ graves by those in attendance.

The playing of “Taps” concluded the ceremony.

Liberty All Church is located at 2415 Old Stage Road, Huntingdon, Tenn., 38344.
