Lifeline Blood Services July Blood Drives

Lifeline Blood Services has released its blood drive calendar for the month of July, urging individuals to save a life by donating blood this summer.

The organization has a need for Type O negative blood, but all blood types are wanted. Only six to seven percent of the population has Type O negative blood, but 100 percent of urgent trauma patients receive it.

Platelet donors are asked to make appointments at the Jackson, Dyersburg or Paris centers. Platelet donors impact local cancer patients.

Lifeline Blood Services is also halfway through its Eighth Annual Car Giveaway, with a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT Truck, donated by Joe Mahan Ford, on the line. The giveaway is open to all donors aged 18 and older and lasts until Labor Day. Lifeline will notify the winner on September 8, 2026.
