HUNTINGDON — Mae Jean Holland, 69, formerly of Huntingdon, died on July 1, 2026. Jean was born on July 2, 1956, to Bill and Mae Evelyn Campbell. She was a 1974 graduate of Central High School in Bruceton, and after high school she worked as a waitress at The Coffee Cup in Huntingdon for Carl and Letha Holland. She fell in love with their son, Edward, and in 1978, they married. In time, they welcomed two sons, Tim and Josh, who were her pride and joy. Jean became disabled, but remained an active and faithful member of her church. Eventually, their family expanded when Tim married, and he and his wife, Gwen, welcomed a daughter, Grace. Jean thought the world of Grace and was so proud of her, always showing off the newest pictures of her “beautiful baby.”

Funeral services were Sunday, July 5, 2026 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home, with Rev. Billie Allen officiating the service.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time of the service. Interment will follow in Hampton Cemetery.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ed, to whom she was married for 34 years, her sons Tim and Josh, her sister Joyce Place, and her brother Stanley Morgan. She is survived by her granddaughter Grace (Wren) Holland-Miller, her daughter-in-law Gwen (Jarid) Warren, her sister-in-law Virginia (Jimmy) Davis, and several nieces and nephews.

Jean’s life was not easy, but we are thankful that for her, death is past and her pain ended, and that she has entered into the joy prepared for her by her Lord and Savior.
