From the Apr 14, 2026 e-EditionHUNTINGDON — Mrs. Margie Jane Gibson, 86, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Lakeside Assisted Living.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Russ Wilkens officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery.
Pallbearers who will serve are Steven Gibson, Rob Taylor, Logan Wallace, Alex Walters, Brett Gibson, Kaden Gibson, Kylen Turner, Kage Gwaltney.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Mrs. Gibson was born June 13, 1939, in Huntingdon, to the late Bernie Everett and Verdie Mae Taylor. She retired from Norandal, where she worked in shipping. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Women’s Club. She loved working with her flowers and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruel David Gibson, three brothers, Bobby Taylor, Tommy Taylor, Kenneth Taylor, and a sister, Patricia Taylor.
She is survived by two daughters, Angie Turner (David) of Huntingdon and Barbara Wallace of Lexington. She also leaves seven grandchildren, Dustin Wallace (Jennifer), Ryan Wallace (Kailey), Logan Wallace, Brett Gibson (Bailee), Lindsay Townes (Desmond), Lincoln Webb (Chris), Alex Walters (Madison), and fifteen great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Lance Kee.
