Local Students Receive Mass Media, Strategic Communication Award

MARTIN (May 29) — Aubrey Abbott and Jacob Sullivan, both of Huntingdon, received awards from the University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Mass Media and Strategic Communication during a ceremony April 11. Abbott received the IDEA Award for media design, the Wayne Tansil Scholarship for journalism, and the Departmental Sophomore Scholarship. Sullivan received the West Tennessee PBS Scholarship, which recognizes an outstanding student in the broadcasting concentration. The department recognizes students in each of the four academic concentrations – broadcasting, media design, news-editorial and public relations.
