McKenzie Council Meets August 13, Could Amend Budget
From the Aug 4, 2026 e-EditionThe McKenzie Board of Mayor and Council meets Thursday, August 13 at 6 p.m. to vote on several items, including a resolution to amend the 2026-27 budget.
In new business the council will discuss and vote on the following items:
- Resolution 26-006 to declare surplus property auction
- Resolution 26-007 for loan approval of communication equipment
- Resolution 26-008 to Amend Budget on Comptroller's Recommendation.
- Enter into a three (3) year lease with Tennessee Tractor for lawn equipment for Public Works and lawn equipment/utility carts for Parks & Recreation.
- Bids for 2026 Paving Project.
The following old business items are on the agenda:
- Discussion/Approval for Public Works Roofing Bids
- Update from Councilperson McBride on Rotary Food Pantry
The council follows Robert's Rules of Order when conducting a council meeting.
