McKENZIE (July 4) — Thousands enjoyed the fireworks show at McKenzie City Park on July 4. The traditional show attracts spectators from throughout the region as they observe from inside the park, nearby Bethel University, State Route 22, from the adjacent residential subdivision.
Food vendors were set up on the outskirts of the parking lot and McKenzie Fire Department’s ladder truck suspended a giant American flag to the delight of the audience.
McKenzie park associates worked to have the park pristine for the onslaught of visitors. Bleacher were repositioned from the ball fields to a more appropriate viewing area near the pond for visitors. Children enjoyed the playground equipment as they waited for the fireworks show at 9 p.m.
